Boat Options to Fit Your Unique Lifestyle

There are a TON of options when it comes to boats. From pontoons to cruisers to deck boats, there is a wide range of boat styles to pick from. Our Lake of the Ozarks boat dealership carries a number of boat types to best fit the needs of our customers. Just like your lifestyle varies from the next person, your preference in boat type may too. Below, Iguana Boat Sales has provided a break down of the boat types we carry to help you narrow down the right fit for your unique wants and needs!

Cruiser Boats

Cruisers provide the joy of living on the water with the ability to handle deeper and rougher water. Comforts include a galley or kitchen, a head or toilet, and one or more berths or sleeping areas. Other common features are air conditioning, heating, hot water, electrical power from a generator, and a hookup for quick access to shore power. Cruisers can range in length from 23 to 60 feet depending on the model. If you are looking for an experience on the water that delivers style, performance, and craftsmanship, a cruiser is for you.

Runabout Boats

Runabouts can be used for racing or for pleasure activities like fishing and water skiing. Some familiar runabout boats are bowriders and cuddy cabins. A bowrider is equipped with extra seats and forward access to the bow. Cuddy cabins are ideal for day-cruising, watersports, and other on-the-water activities such as fishing and swimming. If you are looking for a great family boat to relax in the sun on the lake, then a runabout is your speed.

Pontoons and Tritoons

Many pontoons are still two-tube watercraft, but now those tubes are sleek and carry lifting strakes and keels. Several manufacturers have added a third pontoon, that performs like V-hull boats. Pontoons and tritoons have become more sophisticated and include many state-of-the-art amenities including elegant seating, movable tables, wet bars, powerful stereos, and even LED under deck lighting. If you are looking for a boat that is capable of taking friends and family out for a cruise and some casual fishing, then a pontoon might be for you.

Deck Boats

If you are torn between an agile bowrider and a crowd-friendly tritoon, a deck boat might be the answer for you. A deck boat has a wide deck, with fast maneuverable hulls that look and perform like bowriders. However, they retain much of their beam further forward, with bows that don't come to a bowrider's sharp point.  This allows more seating capacity and creates a very stable platform. As deck boats have become bigger and broader and pontoons have become more powerful and posh, the two watercraft categories have drawn closer. When you are looking for a family boat that does it all, from cruising and fishing to wakeboarding, choose a deck boat.

Wakeboard Boats

If you are an adrenaline junkie and prefer to catch air than to cruise down the lake, a wakeboard boat is for you. Wakeboard boats have inboard engines, which are ideal for watersports, as the propeller is under the boat protecting the riders from danger. There are some boats that combine the best parts of wakeboard, wakesurf, and water-ski boats for the legitimate watersports lovers.
