The Best Time to Buy a Boat

It can be a sad realization for some that summer is slowly starting to come to an end. When summer comes to an end, that usually means boat season starts to come to an end. Fall doesn’t have to mean the end of boat season though! It could actually be the beginning of a new kind of adventure. New boat models are being created for next year and anxious boat dealers start to create discounts to move “last seasons” boats out of the showroom in order to make room for the new boats. Because of this, Fall is the best time to buy a new boat! Here at Iguana Boat Sales, we have put together a list of reasons why you should purchase a new boat at the Lake of the Ozarks during the fall season.

1. Better Prices

The off-season is when it’s truly a buyer’s market. In the fall, boat dealerships are wanting to clear out their unsold inventory in order to make room for next year’s models. It’s during this time when buyers who are looking for a deal should be shopping. There will be discounts and price cuts on both new and used boats.

2. No Waiting

Boat manufacturers are the busiest during springtime. When you order a new boat, it can take months for it to be built. If you wait until spring to order your new boat, you might lose out on lake time while you wait for your boat to come in. The earlier you order it, the sooner you will be able to get out on the water when the weather warms back up. Another bonus to buying your new boat in the fall means you’ll have the off-season to have any equipment and accessories you want, delivered and installed. Getting all of this done before the start of boating season can save you a lot of frustration and time.

3. No Winterization

Winterizing a boat can be a time consuming and confusing process if not left up to the professionals. When you purchase a boat during the fall season, you can save yourself the hassle and costs of having to winterize your boat.

4. Save on Storage

Another benefit of not having to winterize your boat is you won’t have to worry about storing it either. Storage costs of a boat through winter can be pretty expensive. But if you buy your boat at the end of season, you don’t have to worry about storage costs.

If you’ve been thinking about buying a new boat, the fall is the best time to do it! At Iguana Boat Sales, we have a wide variety of different watercrafts to fit any boating lifestyle. From fun wake boats to family-friendly pontoons, the largest new boat dealer at the Lake of the Ozarks has it all! Stop by the Lake of the Ozarks' best boat dealer to see all the amazing boats we have available. There is no better time than now to purchase a boat from Iguana Boat Sales. We look forward to helping you find the perfect boat!
