It's that time of year again – Memorial Day Weekend at the Lake of the Ozarks! The Schwag is Back!

After 14 years, Iguana and Sunshine Daydream wants to welcome back to the Lake of the Ozarks The Schwag for a two-night event called Dam Jam! This event will feature music, vendors and camping at the Lake of the Ozarks. Camping below the dam, awesome live music and non-stop fun - what more could you ask for?

Dam Jam 2017

June 16 & 17

Dam Jam is an event featuring live music, vendors and camping. The festival and campground site are located at the base of Bagnell Dam. This was also the location of several well-attended Schwagstock music festivals from 2000 - 2003. It has been over 14 years since The Schwag has last -played a concert on this property. Dam Jam will be a homecoming for the band to play two days. In addition to the live music, there will be a vendor village set up in the campground featuring food and merchandise. Lake Ozark RV Park & Campground is just a short walk from The Strip, which features a variety of specialty shops, restaurants, arcades, tattoo parlors, bars and other attractions. Don't forget, Iguana Watersports is also located on The Strip! There will be plenty of time to enjoy boat and jet ski rentals at the Lake of the Ozarks during Dam Jam.

Grateful Dead Experience: The Schwag

The Schwag is a band of musicians dedicated to carrying on the vibe and music of the Grateful Dead. Founded in 1991, The Schwag has performed over 3,000 concerts throughout the United States. For many years, the band has hosted its own Schwagstock music festivals, which draws an average of 5,000 people per event several times during the summer. 

Doors Tribute: Moonlight Drive

From Wichita, Kansas, Moonlight Drive recreates a live Doors concert that is just about as close to the real thing as you can get these days. With authentic costumes and vintage instruments, Moonlight Drive will give the audience a true "Ultimate Doors Experience." 

Pink Floyd Tribute: Animals

Animals is a group of talented musicians from northwest Arkansas that have come together to create a celebration of the music of Pink Floyd. 

Bob Marley Tribute: Nonstop Reggae

The Nonstop Reggae Band from St. Louis, Missouri is formed of musicians that have joined together to capture and revive the feel of what a Bob Marley show sounded and felt like for the total Marley experience. 

Aaron Kamm & the One Drops

Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Aaron Kamm & the One Drops merge flavors of Roots Reggae, Mississippi River Blues, Improv-laced Jams and Soulful Vocals. With a high energy performance and a unique sound, this band is a must see.

Still Shine Bluegrass Band

Formed in the summer of 2014, Still Shine is a group of like-minded, seasoned musicians blending acoustic roots and progressive bluegrass. Mixing mandolin, harmonica, banjo, acoustic guitar, upright bass and tight harmonies, they quickly gained a following around Central Illinois area and the local Midwest. 

Surco

Formed in late 2015, St. Louis based quartet, Surco has proved to please. With soaring, tightly composed songs to funky, exploratory improvisation, their music is sure to make you move. 

The Baub Eis Band

Baub lights the guitar fingerboard ablaze with a combination of whatever flavor they feel like throwing into the fire that night - from fiery blues, four on the floor rock and even occasional space jams supercharged with live looping - always guided by a creative spirit and always fresh from show to show. 

Brody Buster's One Man Band

Brody Buster is a blues and rock musician from Lawrence, Kansas. He’s a former child prodigy and was featured on countless TV shows growing up including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Dateline, Crook & Chase, and the Jon Stewart Show. Even Baywatch Nights and Full House showcased Brody’s talents.

Molly Adamson

Molly Adamson is an Arkansas native who is currently studying education at Stephans College in Columbia, Missouri. Molly plays many instruments including the guitar and guitalele. She is also a very talented singer who started playing music at the early age of 3. 

The Dancing Bear Tribe

The Dancing Bear Tribe is an extraordinary group of people who come together to bring an overload in enjoyment with their visual performing arts. Lana Mae, Sarah Parker, and Erin Delaplain are the main performers for the troupe, but they often bring in many bear friends to supplement and, even more, vamped up experience. The girls have been hosting workshops and leading performances all over America’s heartland and the east coast. 

Lake Ozark RV Park & Campground 

The Lake Ozark RV Park & Campground is located in a beautiful setting right below the historic Bagnell Dam. There are 30 and 50 amp hook-ups, sew and water and campsites with electric available. Shows and bathrooms are within walking distance from all campsites. The beautiful Osage River is just steps away with great fishing available.

Lake Race 2017 Is Here!

Iguana is proud to be a sponsor for the 2017 Lake Race! This is an annual event takes place over four days at kicks off Wednesday, May 31 with the new Paddle Battle event. There will be fun, family-friendly events leading up to the big race day on June, 3. To finish off the weekend, there will be a poker run to benefit local firefighters. Here are all the details for this year's Lake Race.

Wednesday, May 31

Paddle Battle

Teams of 3 will race across the Lake on paddle boards. Costumes are welcomed and encouraged! All ages are invited, as it will be a fun family event. Prizes for 1st place team, last place and best costume.

Thursday, June 1

Festival of Speed

This street festival will feature speed boats, classic cars, motorcycles. In addition, there will be food and fair form local vendors as well as music and entertainment. Shuttle service will be available from the State Park.

Friday, June 2

Lake Race Meet and Greet Street Party

Race fans will experience everything unique about Lake Race. Get up close an d personal with the boats that will be in the races as well as meet the drivers. Phat Mike and the Bartenders will take the stage at 8:00 PM. There will even be an area for kids to have fun! Shuttle service will be available throughout the weekend.

Saturday, June 3

Bagnell Dam will be closed at 7:30 AM for spectator viewing.

Lake Race 5K

Starting at Beavers at the Dam, participants will proceed below the dam to JJ Twigs, and down The Strip back to Beavers. Proceeds from this event will be added to the Lake Race donation and presented to various charitable organizations throughout the Lake.

OPA Sanctioned Powerboat Racing

Viewing will be available at Beavers at the Dam, on the Historic Bagnell Dam and at various other locations surrounding the course.

Thousands of people will be heading to the Lake of the Ozarks this weekend for the Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals. This year the car show is taking place May 5 - 7 on the Historic Bagnell Dam Strip and is packed with an exciting schedule of events. Historic Bagnell Dam Strip Lake of the Ozarks

The Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals is one of the largest car shows in Central Missouri. It's a unique show for all makes, models and years of cars, trucks and motorcycles. Only show vehicles are allowed within the boundaries, which creates an electric atmosphere! 

Win A New Chevrolet Camaro

Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals is the one car show that gives away a brand new muscle car. This year, raffle contestants can win either a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro or $20,000 cash as an alternative to the car. Purchase tickets from Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary from Hy-Vee in Osage Beach, Kwik Kar Car Wash or Hulett in Camdenton. Only 2,500 tickets are being sold, so hurry and purchase yours before they run out.

Poker Run For WAM

Join Warriors Against Melanoma's 3rd Annual Poker Run fundraiser at the Lake of the Ozarks! A $20 donation is required per hand to play in this poker run. Rent your boat to join in on the fun - there will even be an after party at Topsiders. In past years,  Warriors Against Melanoma has donated nearly $30,000 to melanoma research and also directly to families battling late-stage melanoma.

Lake of the Ozarks Shootout

The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout brings in the top powerboat racers and off shore power boats from across the country. Some of these boats will top 200 MPH! This is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the Midwest with over 100 racers and 100,000 spectators. Proceeds will benefit the Lake Area Rescue Teams and other charitable organizations. Make a whole week of Shootout with fun events happening all week long leading up to the main event.

The world's largest pub crawl is happening at the Lake of the Ozarks, Saturday, February 18! The Mardi Gras Pub Crawl is one of the biggest winter events at the Lake of the Ozarks. Buses Start at 4:00 PM

The 17th annual Mardi Gras Pub Crawl is bringing your live music, good times and a safe ride to get you to all the great locations participating in this year's event. For just $10, you get a wristband that provides you an all-access pass to the 17 participating locations, and of course, a ride to get there safely. The Pub Crawl buses will be making a continuous loop between all the 17 locations and all lodging on the route - so there's no reason to drink and drive because Pub Crawl can get you to where you need to go!
