Get Ready for the Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop!

It's that time of year again – time for the Great Dam Duck Drop at the Lake of the Ozarks! Whether you live in the area or are visiting this summer, spending quality time with your friends and family is something Iguana Marine Group truly believes in. This is why we are proud to support all the great events that take place around our area. One organization that we feel is especially important, as they do so much good for families in the area, is Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast. This week, we want to take the opportunity to give you the run-down on a fantastic community event that supports Kiwanis (and countless other local organizations) - The Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop.

About The Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop

The Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop is a fun-filled event for people of all ages. The event offers two main attractions: The Duck Drop Golf Tournament and the Family Fun Zone. In addition to being great fun for the general public, both of these events raise money to benefit local kids through a variety of local organizations.

Proceeds from the golf tournament benefit:

• Lake Area Big Brothers Big Sisters
• Ozark Coast Kiwanis

Proceeds from the Family Fun Zone and Duck Drop benefit:

• Ozark Coast Kiwanis
• Kids Harbor
• Citizens Against Domestic Violence
• The Food Pantry
• Lake Area Big Brothers Big Sisters
• Wonderland Camp
• And More

This year, Iguana Marine Group is proud to support this event by offering the use of our Bagnell Dam Campground site as a location for the Family Fun Zone and Duck Drop. From the river off the campground, you will have a great view of the ducks dropping into the water! The Family Fun Zone is a great place for your kids (and yourself) to participate in fun games before the big Duck Drop!

Family Fun Zone & Duck Drop

Bring the whole family out Saturday, August 3rd to enjoy the Family Fun Zone which opens at 10:00 AM and watch the Ducks fly at NOON! Ducks will be dropped from the helicopter, as well as from Pontoon Boats in the river. They will "race" to the finish line. The first duck to cross the finish line wins $5,000! 10 additional ducks will win prizes, too! Duck Drop Ticket Sales at the Fun Zone ends promptly at 11:00 AM, or stop by one of many local businesses to get your tickets in advance!

2019 Rinker Rendezvous

Summer is coming at the Lake of the Ozarks and that means it’s almost time for the Rinker Rendezvous! As the weather warms up, your Lake of the Ozarks boat dealer is working hard to prepare for this upcoming Lake event. In this week’s blog, we will discuss the Rinker Rendezvous at Iguana Marine Group’s Showroom at the Lake of the Ozarks. Family Friend Event - Eagle Days

Eagle Days 2019 is right around the corner. This event offers a fun experience for all who attend. No matter your age, there's an activity you'll love at this highly anticipated event at the Lake of the Ozarks. Come out this weekend (Jan 5th - Jan 6th) for an unforgettable learning experience centered around the majestic and patriotic creatures that grace our area this time of year. Shootout On The Strip Street Party

The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is this weekend (8/25 & 8/26) and we’re celebrating ALL WEEK LONG. One of the most popular Shootout events is the Meet & Greet on the Bagnell Dam Strip on August 22nd from 5-10pm. It’s a fun way to get meet some of the racers and check out their equipment up close and personal! For an evening of family fun, be sure to come out to the Shootout on the Strip Street Party. Take a look below to see what you can expect to find when you come out tomorrow!

Meet the Racers

You get to meet and visit with the racers at this exciting event! It’s a great way to get to know the racers and learn about them on a personal level. Meet the crews that stand behind and help these racers, as well.

Check out the Boats

Getting an up close and personal look at these boats is an exciting part of this event. These powerful machines are stunning. Check out the engines and the paint in person. Many of these boats have fantastic graphics – you won’t want to miss out.

Grab a Bite to Eat

There are a number of restaurants along the Bagnell Dam Strip. Grab a bite to eat with your family as you walk around and check out all the boats. Make an entire evening of this event and indulge in a tasty meal while you’re here!

Enjoy Entertainment

From vendors to great music, there are a number of entertainment opportunities available during the Shootout on the Strip event. This street party is exactly what it sounds like – a big party in the street along the entire Bagnell Dam Strip. It’s a great way to get your friends and family together and celebrate the great sport of boat racing!
